Nico Lavender is a singer, drag performer and visual artist. She’s a campy, overdrawn character best described by her creator, Joel Grace, as “an intergalactic crystal gazing witch and a vessel for channeling divine femininity.” The character of Nico grew out of a 2015 London Fringe play, as well as Joel’s teenage obsessions with Kids in the Hall, David Bowie, Marilyn Manson, and James St. James.

Nico Lavender’s shows are filled with colour and emotion, weaving theatrical narratives through costume, makeup, performance, and music. A regular entertainer at Lavish Nightclub where she holds monthly drag shows, Nico can also be found performing throughout the city and southwestern Ontario and raising money for local charities. Nico has also been an active participant in various local Pride events, including London's first ever Drag Queen Storytime, and was named 2018 Pride London Festival Ambassador.
